Pinit Rider β€” Code of Conduct & Acceptable Use

Effective date: 04-08-2026 Last updated: 04-08-2026

This Code of Conduct & Acceptable Use (β€œCode”) applies to every Pinit rider, whether engaged by PINIT LLP or an authorized franchise. It explains the standards you must follow when using the Rider App and when representing Pinit to customers. Breaching this Code may lead to disciplinary action, up to termination, and legal consequences where the law is broken.

1. Professional conduct with customers

  • Be punctual, polite, and respectful at every home visit and does service.
  • Verify the customer and the booking/order before handing over any goods or collecting payment.
  • Respect the customer's home, privacy, and time; enter only where invited and only as needed for the task.
  • Never harass, threaten, discriminate against, or behave inappropriately toward a customer or member of the public. Zero tolerance.
  • Follow the booked slot and, in Suitcase Mode, the 45-minute browsing window; extend only if the customer has paid for the one-time 15-minute extension.

2. Custody and security of suitcases and sarees

Suitcases carry up to 100 high-value sarees that remain Pinit's property until sold. You are personally responsible for them during a task.

  • Keep the suitcase within your control at all times; never leave it unattended or with an unauthorized person.
  • Do not open, remove, swap, or use any saree except to present it to the customer during the visit.
  • Return every unselected/unsold saree at the end of the day and reconcile the count as the app requires.
  • Report any loss, theft, damage, or count mismatch immediately through the app and to your supervisor.

3. Handling money β€” deposits and settlement

  • Collect booking deposits, and payments only as the Rider App instructs, and record each one accurately at the time of collection.
  • Apply the customer's deposit correctly: as a discount on the bill if they purchase, or retained per the customer Refund Policy if they buy nothing.
  • Provide the digital receipt/confirmation the app generates; do not issue informal or handwritten receipts.
  • Remit and reconcile all collected cash by the deadline and method set by your franchise.
  • Never keep, borrow, mix, or delay company cash. Shortfalls may be recovered through lawful deductions and may lead to disciplinary and legal action.

4. Using the Rider App correctly

  • Scan in and out honestly; do not manipulate shift, attendance, or location status.
  • Capture genuine proof-of-delivery and damage photos at the actual time and place never staged or reused images.
  • Keep task statuses truthful and up to date; do not mark tasks complete prematurely.
  • Use the app's masked/in-app calling to reach customers; do not save or use customer numbers elsewhere if visible.
  • Report bugs or wrong data through rider support rather than working around them.

5. Location, monitoring, and honesty of data

While you are on an active shift or task, the Rider App records your precise location and derives metrics such as idle time and ETA / arrival-performance scores, as explained in the Rider App Privacy Notice. You agree to:

  • Keep location enabled during shifts and not spoof, freeze, or disable it.
  • Not falsify any location, timing, delivery, or cash data.
  • Understand that this data may be used to route work, ensure safety, and assess performance, with human review before any significant decision.

6. Device rules and security

  • On company devices, install only approved apps and follow any MDM policy; return the device on offboarding.
  • On personal (BYOD) devices, keep the OS updated and the device secure; do not use a rooted/jailbroken device.
  • Protect your login; never share credentials or let anyone else operate your account.
  • Do not connect the Rider App or company device to unapproved networks, systems, or accessories.

7. Customer data and confidentiality

  • Treat all customer information as confidential and use it only to complete the assigned task.
  • Do not photograph, copy, screenshot, share, or store customer data outside the app.
  • Do not contact customers after a task for personal reasons or share their details with anyone.
  • These obligations continue after your engagement ends.

8. Safety and road conduct

  • Obey all traffic laws; wear required safety gear and never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Do not operate the app in a way that distracts you while driving; stop safely before interacting with the screen.
  • Maintain a valid licence and roadworthy vehicle where the role requires one.
  • Prioritise personal safety over any target; report unsafe situations immediately.

9. Prohibited conduct

The following are serious violations and may lead to immediate action and, where applicable, police involvement:

  • Theft, misappropriation, or unauthorized use of sarees, suitcases, or cash.
  • Fraud; including fake deliveries, falsified proof, or manipulated cash/location data.
  • Harassment, threats, discrimination, or violence toward customers, colleagues, or the public.
  • Misuse or disclosure of customer or company data.
  • Tampering with, disabling, or circumventing app security, location, or monitoring features.
  • Working while impaired, or any conduct that endangers people or goods.

10. Reporting incidents and concerns

  • Report accidents, theft, loss, damage, disputes, or unsafe situations immediately via the app and to your supervisor / admin@pinitsarees.com
  • Raise concerns or grievances; including about monitoring or a performance decision β€” through +91 8688361661 or the Grievance Officer [GRIEVANCE_OFFICER_EMAIL].
  • Retaliation against anyone who reports a genuine concern in good faith is prohibited.

11. Performance and consequences

Performance metrics (on-time/ETA scores, idle time, completion and reconciliation rates, customer feedback) are used to support, coach, and manage riders. Where metrics feed a pay, incentive, or disciplinary decision that significantly affects you, a person reviews it before any final outcome, and you may request an explanation and contest it through the grievance process. Disciplinary steps follow your employment contract and applicable labour law.

12. Acknowledgement

By using the Rider App, you confirm that you have read and understood this Code, the Rider App Terms of Use, and the Rider App Privacy Notice, and that you agree to follow them as a condition of your engagement as a Pinit rider.
